Allegheny Health Network doctors join national group seeking 'to transform health care across all spectrums'
Allegheny Health Network doctors have joined 4,500 physicians in Pennsylvania and nine other states in trying out a new way of getting paid by Medicare, promising more money in their pockets and improved care for patients.
The program will pay doctors the same Medicare fee-for-service rates they have received in the past, but allow treatment changes that would save the government money while improving patient care.
